I like to make, bake, and decorate, and more besides. I like vintage, pretty things, homemade, shabby chic, peace, calm, comfort, and enjoying my little angels...which I don't do nearly enough. I would also like to enjoy our garden more....but it always seems to be a wilderness with far too much for me to do than I can manage.....having a gardener sounds like a splendid idea...but for the time being, I just dream of having one.....all in good time, as they say. I am also trying to renovate our 1925 home, which is a very, very slow process...gradual would be an understatement... but still, it is one which brings great satisfaction and joy - I absolutely ♥ making a house a home.
Recently I have come to realise that in the hurly burly business of life I was so preoccupied with the day to day doing, that I forgot to take time to notice the special things that are all around me. I decided if I would just stop to smell the flowers occasionally, and take some photos, I would see that life is a wonderful journey to be enjoyed, not endured. So out of these musings, came the idea to slow down just a little, take time, and take note.....and so this blog came into being......
Welcome to my journal of joy - a place to record what inspires me, what brings a smile, what I ♥, and what makes me happy. This is somewhere I can come to lift my spirits...I hope it lifts yours too.
